More About: Amanda started dancing when she was 3, and she hasn’t stopped since. She began with ballet and branched out to other types of dance, like ballroom! When she came to UGA, ballroom was a fun activity she discovered through taking the intro class, and continued it by joining the Ballroom Performance Group. When she’s not dancing, she is student teaching English at a middle school. Her biggest takeaway from the experience so far is that seventh graders are the funniest, most interesting people in the world. In addition to student teaching, Amanda teaches at a dance center in Athens, takes a West African dance class, likes to go hiking, and loves anything blue.
